I have had cause to speak with the current manager, Matt, of the Valparaiso, Indiana post office on three occasions due to lost mail, no mail, or mail delivered in error. Today I phoned to tell him that a first class letter was mailed from Valparaiso to Westlake, Ohio; and was never received. He told me he can’t do anything about a first class mail piece. I told him that I would no longer be mailing first class. He told me that was my choice. Apparently mail requires a tracking number now to insure the mail reaches it’s destination. Further, what I didn’t tell him is that I will use a different post office location. The service at this one from Matt is rude and non-apologetic for it’s many errors.
