1. Lobby is nasty, may not have been cleaned for a long, long time.Take a look at the vent above the clerks heads- my goodness.
2. Often the lobby does not open on time. Personally have waited 15 mins or more on more than one occasion for them to roll up the nasty. scraping roll up window. Heck, look at this webpage and notice retail and bulk mail open at 8am, but the lobby doesn’t open until 5pm.
3. Employees are not well trained regarding pricing. operating system, or current USPS directives. Often, they leave customers standing while they seek assistance from other employees regarding how to perform their duties.
4. Manager believes himself to be supreme commander of all things mail and that customers have no clue about how they should be treated. Just ask him to provide his boss’s name and watch his god complex take over.
5. Clerks are not customer friendly. I have personally witnessed 4-5 incidents where clerks angered customers and pretended it was “customer service.” They never smile, they never greet you, and they certainly never thank you for your business. Often, it feels like business is a burden to them.
6. I have overheard yelling matches in the office to the left of the counter – nothing says professional more than an employee/manager yelling at each othe within earshot of waiting customers.
7. Employee/Staff/Office meetings take precedent over customers waiting in line – 30mins listening to the manager instruct staff in the backroom just today…I could continue. I won’t. This office needs attention.
