Glenolden Post Office Reviews

  1. I went to the Glenolden post office (19036) on 8/24/22 at approximately 9:33 a.m. As I approached the window a gentleman was leaving and just shook his head at me. As I approached the window, the employee was sitting down staring at her phone. I placed my priority mail box into the slot of the plexiglass and pushed it towards her. She raised her head and asked “How can I assist you today.” in a monotone voice. I said “Well, I want to mail some things”. I thought this was obvious as the large box was right in front of her. As she took the box, I placed 4 priority mail padded envelopes in the slot. After finishing the box, she took one of the envelopes, typed what she needed to and printed the large label. She placed the label on the envelope, covering my return address. I said “Oh, you covered the return address.” She looked at me, sighed and tried to peel the label off. She couldn’t so she shoved the package at me and said “label won’t come off, you can write the address on it”. As she took my third package, I said “Please be careful not to cover the return address.” She stopped, looked and me and snorted. I said “Excuse me?” She snorted again and continued inputting the package information. I asked “What’s your name?” She looked at me and said “we’re not playing this game.” I said “What game? I simply asked your name.” She said “we’re not playing this game.” Again, I asked “I simply asked your name. I don’t know what the problem is.” Employee “You ain’t gonna give me a compliment.” At this point I asked for her supervisor. She stopped what she was doing and said “No, you just want to start trouble.” And then she stopped and stared at me. I asked “are you going to finish that?” (as she was in the middle of entering the information on my second package). She said “I am not gonna be disrespected.” I said “Whatever, finish the package.” She said “No, not until you apologize to me.” (WHAT???) Wanting to end this confrontation, I said “I apologize.” She said “Say please.” I said “Please.” I guess I sighed because she kept saying “you not gonna disrespect me. You made about the label over the address.” I said “I simply asked you nicely to be careful.” Again she stopped and looked at me. I said “Ok, just finish up.” She again said “you disrespecting me”. There were 2 men behind me and one said “Ladies, please. Life is too short.” I said “I agree.” She then loudly stated “I’m not gonna be disrespected.” She finished my packages and I thought she missed one (the one on which I had to write my return address) and I said “Oh and this one.” Then I noticed it was already done and said “Oh.” and pushed it back to her. She snorted and laughed out loud. I paid with my credit card and hit “Print receipt”. She took the receipt and started to write on it and I said “Please don’t write on my receipt.” (I have to input the tracking numbers and sometimes when the postal employees write on the receipts, it is hard to read the tracking number.) She stopped, looked at me and said “I have to”. I said “No you don’t.” Still looking at me, she circled the scan code at the bottom, handed it to me and said “Have a blessed day.”

This is the second time she has waited on me and the first time did not go very well, but not to this level of unprofessional-ism. I have been using multiple locations of the postal service here in Delaware County (19032; 19074, 19094, etc.) and this is the WORST employee I have ever encountered. Before my recent two encounters at this location, the employee that worked at this location, Fred, was always very polite. (I had not been to this location in a few months)

I contacted the recipients of the 5 packages I mailed and told them I had an “encounter” when mailing their items, so if the packages arrive damaged to please take pictures and contact me.
