Hapeville Post Office Reviews

  1. On December 20, 2021, my mailbox was broken. The mail carrier admitted to breaking it – with a cocky smile! He even explained how he broke it (shoving a
    big medicine bottle inside it).
His cocky attitude worsened when I asked his name. I wanted to report his reckless action. He rudely said while driving off, “just call the office!”
I instead filed a claim on the P.O.’s website.
A man claiming to be the reckless carrier’s manager visited my home the next day. He agreed to repair it.
This was December 21, 2021. I understood that it was the holidays and their workload was heavier than normal. However, after the holidays ended, I didn’t hear from him anymore. He even had the audacity to email a letter stating that the issue was resolved. It wasn’t resolved – I didn’t have a mailbox! Furthermore, I informed him I didn’t have time to run to the Hapeville branch regularly due to being my mother’s caretaker.
When I contacted him after the holidays, he said without any interest in customer satisfaction (he said he was here to serve me) “I was spending time with my family. It was the holidays, you know.” I explained I understood that. However, the holidays were over. His response was “well, I’ll eventually get to it.”
I sensed dishonesty and laziness in his tone. He had no intention of repairing my mailbox. Thus, I contacted upper management. They reviewed my complaint. They had on file his agreement to repair my mailbox. The phone representative even stated that since their busy season was over, he should be able to fix my mailbox faster. He did not refer to this fact.
They promised to investigate this. This investigation, however, only exposed more dishonesty and unaccountability.
Turns out “Mr. Fix It” lied more than I thought. When he visited my home, he said that he was the manager of the Hapeville branch. Turns out this was a BIG LIE.
After sparing the time to pick up my mail, some woman came from the back stating she was the manager. He stood beside her BIG MAD that I contacted upper management. It was then that he said she was his manager and what she said was final. And her final decision was they weren’t fixing my mailbox. She then scolded him for going around promising people he’ll fix their mailboxes (a lie is more truthful). This woman was no better either. She wanted me to rent a P.O. Box. Why should I pay unnecessary money based on the recklessness and lies of their incompetent workers?
Then the next day, January 8, 2022, another postal worker called me. He claimed that he was the manager of the Hapeville branch – remind you, three people claimed the managerial title to this one location. He also claimed that he was going to go after the carrier for destroying my
mailbox. He stated that it would be quicker to fix the mailbox myself and they reimburse me – $200 tops.
However, he did not put this reimbursement offer in writing. Furthermore, I didn’t know how much it would take to repair it. Even if I knew offhand the price, the Post Office wasn’t honoring their offer. Because after this manager visited my house to survey the damage two days later, I didn’t hear another word from this man or anyone else. I even contacted him on January 24, 2022. He told me the same lie as before: we’re going to fix it. He was trying to see when liar #1 would be available to fix it.
In the end, I had to fix it.
DO NOT TRUST THE POSTAL WORKERS AT THE HAPEVILLE BRANCH! These people wouldn’t know honesty if it backhand slapped them in the face! They act like it’s okay to destroy homeowners’ property minus facing consequences. Southside residents don’t deserve this cruel treatment. We’re not a trendy area; however, we’re still worthy of postal workers who are trustworthy.
