Gold Beach Post Office Reviews

  1. Mistakes happen and everyone is forgiving of a few here and there. That said, over the last couple of months the Gold Beach Post Office has been doing a disgraceful job of delivery the mail. I’ve had many situations over the years where checks I was suppose to receive never made it to me and had to be stopped & reissued. That was a while back. NOW everyone I speak with is having issues. I had a very important package that was supposedly scanned to my box (I have the only key) and it wasn’t there. The person remembered scanning it and putting it into my box. So, I was told there is nothing they can do. I had to wire another $127 to have the item replaced (BANK ACCOUNT combination key). The person standing directly behind me in line had two yellow slips to pick up packages. Not her packages, they were in the wrong box. (She could have easily taken home someone’s packages.) Yesterday a lady in line said “I’m so frustrated! My friend has sent me two packages in the last month and I haven’t received either one. They say they remember receiving them; but, I don’t get them.”

Many of our customers have been put on ‘account restriction’ of their accounts due to returned mail. The address is correct on the envelope, but the mail was placed in the wrong box and returned to our corporate office by the receiver.

A friend told be that she compiles the incorrect deliveries and returns them to the post office at the end of each week.

There isn’t one person that I’ve spoken with that hasn’t received someone else’s mail recently.

I stood by my PO Box yesterday for 10 minutes waiting for my box to be filled, hoping my missing package would arrive. The two ladies sorting the mail never stopped talking to each other the entire time. How can they focus on sorting when they are focusing on some man’s life who has 6 kids and one on the way.

I posted on Facebook that I was missing a package and provided my PO Box number. One lady returned a piece of mail to the post office that stated ‘Time Sensitive’; but unfortunately it wasn’t what I was looking for.

I’m hoping my package shows up, so I can get a $127 refund. However, I doubt it will ever show. Will probably be put in someone else’s box by error.
