Post office keeps leaving packages on the ground under mailbox in the rain instead of bringing to the door , would anyone like to receive a package that is completely soaked and the contents are all wet ?? I think not , this is ridiculous
On 2/14/22, 5:00 pm, I visited the Conroe Post Office to mail a certified letter. When my turn occurred, I approached the counter to be greeted by a very gracious postal person, an older woman. I paid cash and only had a $100 bill. She asked if I had any lower change and seemed anxious and scared. Unfortunately, I had no other change. Accordingly, she excused herself to go to the back and get change. About five minutes later, I heard commotion with another woman’s voice screaming at someone and ending the conversation with “go ahead and quit!” Shortly afterwards, my postal person appeared visibly shaking and crying with tears running down her face. I was shocked! I asked her if she was okay? She reluctantly said “no.” I pursued the issue and asked what happened? I asked if I caused her a problem by asking for change? She said it was not my fault that the supervisor had been acting mean to everyone at the counter; that the supervisor was condescending and demeaning. In fact, while I was waiting in line, I did overhear another postal person, a younger man, complain that he had been reprimanded for something by this same supervisor, and he didn’t understand why? I told my counter person that I heard what the supervisor said to her; that everyone outside the counter heard what the supervisor said; and, that I was going to file a complaint to remove such an unprofessional and emotionally disturbed employee who was blatantly abusing her position and co-workers. I have visited the Conroe Post Office several times and enjoyed very good service! Supervisor’s first name is Vera, and I will be reporting her to the U.S. Postmaster.
