I have been in Four Oaks, N. C for almost 2 years and I have never seen a Post Office that’s so slack about people’s mail.
When we decided to get a Post Office Box, we were told to verify senders of our new address and we did, but Mail is still coming to our physical address. We asked the question as to why we hadn’t gotten a piece of mail and we were told if the person used our old address that the mail would go to Virginia to get the yellow sticky with the new address on it, then it would be delivered to the new address. We’re still getting mail for people that lived at our physical address more than two years ago. When we asked about it we were told there’s nothing that can be done about promotional mail. We have called the company that’s sending the promotional mail and we were told to contact our local Post Office, and of course they said there’s nothing they can do about it.
We’re getting our neighbors mail that lives on both sides of us, but the Post Office reason is because of COVID-19 their staff is out sick, or they would tell you that because of the COVID-19 they had to get help from other surrounding areas. Even if they had to get help from other surrounding areas, I am sure the mail carrier could read. The other problem we have is why would you put a complete new person on a mail route that’s not familiar with the area.
Something needs to be done, because the people in Four Oaks, N. C is getting fed up with the situation.
